Paid Internship Opportunity
We are absolutely thrilled to announce an exciting internship opportunity in partnership with AI4PH (AI for Public Health), an initiative under the Health Research Training Program (HRTP). At Pamoja Institute, we understand the transformative potential of AI in tackling public health challenges. This vision is shared by our partners at AI4PH, and together, we're seeking to bring on board a dedicated intern for our Zero Hunger project team.
This unique internship will offer participants the chance to contribute to two pivotal projects:
Project 1: Measurement and Assessment of Community Resilience, you'll play a key role in defining measures and developing qualitative tools to evaluate the resilience of communities over time.
Project 2: Virtual Agent Development, you'll have the chance to create an AI-powered virtual agent that can enhance community building and resource sharing. This will involve harnessing the power of agent-based recommender systems to boost community resilience and social capital in a tangible, quantifiable way.
We're looking for someone with a passion for community-centered research and action, an understanding of AI concepts and technologies, and a commitment to anti-oppressive practices and health equity.
The internship will span a period of 3-6 months, with an expected time commitment of 10-15 hours per week.
A stipend of $10,000 will be awarded to interns to support their work during this period.
If you think you're the right fit for this dynamic role, we warmly invite you to apply here. We can't wait to welcome you to our team and drive positive community change together!
